1. What the service is

CountHound watches refunds and cancellations on your Shopify store, detects when inventory wasn't correctly restored, and corrects it. A nightly reconciliation flags unexplained inventory drift for review, and a dashboard shows every check and correction it makes.

2. What you're agreeing to let it do

By installing, you authorize CountHound to read your store's orders, products, and inventory, and to adjust inventory quantities on your store. Every change it makes is logged and visible on your dashboard, and you can report any correction you think is wrong (see section 4).

3. Price

At installation you approve a $10/month subscription through Shopify's standard app billing, with your first four weeks free. This is the locked founding-merchant rate (standard pricing will be $19/month). Billing begins automatically when the free period ends. Uninstall at any time during the free period and you pay nothing; uninstalling later stops billing per Shopify's app billing terms.

4. Reporting something wrong

Every correction on your dashboard has a Report button. Press it and the report is saved to us; we review every report and follow up through the dashboard or the channel you were invited through. You remain responsible for your store's inventory — CountHound is a safety net, not a replacement for your own oversight — so review the dashboard periodically and report anything unexpected.

5. It's a beta

CountHound is provided as-is. It handles the common refund and cancellation cases well; part of the beta's purpose is finding the uncommon ones it may not handle perfectly. We may update, pause, or discontinue the beta, or change these terms, with at least 14 days' notice before a change that affects you.

6. Data

We process order and inventory data solely to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Notice, which is part of these terms. In summary: we strip customer personal information before storing anything, raw event data is deleted after 60 days, and we never sell or share your data. When you uninstall, we automatically delete all of your store's data once Shopify sends its shop-redaction notice (about 48 hours later) — no request needed, though you can ask us to delete it sooner. If we become aware of a security breach affecting your data, we'll notify you without undue delay.

7. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law: we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages (including lost sales or profits from overselling, underselling, or inventory inaccuracies), and our total liability under these terms is capped at USD $100. This cap reflects the service's low monthly price.

8. Term and ending it

These terms apply while the app is installed. You can end them at any time by uninstalling the app from your Shopify admin. We can end your beta access with 14 days' notice. Sections 6, 7, and 9 survive termination.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
